Michael Moschen speaks about juggling, motion and rythm from TED. 40min running time: includes bounce juggling, 1&2 sticks, 1-3 tubes (!!!), ball and can, ‘contact juggling’, curved sticks, bendy pich-style batons with balls on the end, 🙂 🙂 and a well earned standing ovation from his audience.
Along with the video is a short article on ‘Why you should listen to him‘
Mega-thanks to Thomas Arthur for the Link this morning (which totally threw a curve-ball at my ability to get anything done this morning)
First comment!
I am deeply indebted to this man for showing me the path to creating good manipulation.
Dawn, if you are reading this; DONT WATCH IT ALL YET; WAIT TILL I GET HOME AFTER REHEARSAL!
LOL
I’ll be home when you are. We’ll watch it together.
wow, i honestly had no idea that the vid was as long as it was. Seriously got lost in the moment with him. I truly wish i was as conceptual with dynamic manipulation as he is. I am stilling trying to figure my own body’s dynamics out, much less trying to figure out everything elses relationship with it. well all i can do now is kinda mumble to myself….
the sticks are still my favorite. I want to see more with the curvy staff. He is such a funny man, so graceful and so strange.
Nice post ryan. I agree Dawn, something strange and beautiful about those s curves.
I love the sticks… Been working on the 2 sticks since i saw them on cirque du soleil’s Solstrom TV series… lol
I couldn’t believe how long that vid was, It only seemed like a few minutes passed… lol
Moschen…great inspiration for so long….but like some of the others the 2 stick stuff…blinding.By the way..I recommend that you check out some of the other TED stuff…there is some amazing stuff there !
