The return of Metra

Japanese contact juggler Metra, who has been featured on this blog many times before, has returned after several years absence from the scene with a set of new videos and new techniques. I’m especially impressed with his style of small silicon ball multiball, and many of the techniques he showcases in this video are totally new to me.

Metra linked me to several videos that he was using as inspiration, check out these clips below for a completely different approach to ‘palmspinning’ technique.

Don’t have time to do your essay induvidually? Don’t worry and buy essays online!

Balance in Challenge is an intensive program designed to expand your awareness, deepen your understanding of your own movement and provide you with tools for staying present under pressure.

In three one-on-one Alexander Technique lessons, we will work with you on improving your basic coordination by quieting extra tension and energizing your system towards a dynamic state of poise. In 18 hours of group classes we will explore exercises from physical theatre, clowning, martial arts, dance and juggling. Within this playground, we will observe how each of our ways of moving affects everything that we do. We will challenge you to keep breathing, stay grounded and respond to many situations with ease.

This is NOT a workshop about learning tricks, dance moves or clowning. BUT it will present you with powerful tools to develop HOW you move, dance, juggle, perform and live in the world. Come prepared to play at your own ‘edges’, the places just on the borders of your comfort zones. Ideal for actors, dancers, circus performers and anyone who is interested in the relationship between movement, pharmacy, health and expression. No experience required.

“It is no exaggeration to say that the insights I gained will stay with me forever, enriching my personal and professional development.” Liam Wilson Juggler/Artist

Joseph Viatte – ball juggling

2 years ago all my friends in Europe started asking me ” have you met this young kid Joseph? He is amazing.”

I later met him at the Swiss juggling convention was deeply impressed by his passion for contact juggling. I immediately subscribed to his youtube channel, Juggling for Cake and he has released some great contact and multiball and 8ring stuff. Seriously just click those links.

They are all full of stuff you’ve never thought of before but it is brilliant. I should have been posting all of them on the Ministry all year, but these recent 3ball videos are just too good so here ya go, this is Joseph and he is seriously one of the best new contemporary jugglers that exist.
